Product Overview – A Modular Line for Mandarin Processing

Mandarins are a low-margin fruit, so we design efficient, high-value lines – not just standalone graders.

Our modular mandarin processing line consists of:

1. Infeed section (you choose one of two options):

   • Option A: Water tank & sprinkles + brushes (wet cleaning)

   • Option B: Hopper & elevator + brushes (dry infeed, then wet cleaning)

2. Middle section (standard for all configurations):
   Waxing section → Air blowers (drying)

3. Back-end (you choose one):

   • Drum grader – sorts by diameter

   • Electronic weight sorter – sorts by weight (±2g accuracy)

   • Optical sorter – sorts by external defects (color, blemish, shape)

Application:
Round or oblate fruits like citrus, orange, mandarin, tangerine, clementine, apple, tomato, etc.

Infeed Section – Two Options

Customers can choose between two infeed configurations depending on their fruit condition and budget.

Option A – Water Tank & Sprinkles + Brushes (Wet Cleaning)

This is the complete cleaning solution. It includes a water tank with sprinkles for soaking and pre-washing, followed by brush rollers for deep cleaning.

Best for:

• Fruit with heavy dirt, leaves, or debris

• Customers who want the most thorough cleaning

• Higher budget lines

Components:

• Water tank with sprinkles – soaks and loosens dirt

• Brush rollers – deep cleaning

Option B – Hopper & Elevator + Brushes (Direct to Brushes)

• This is the simplified infeed. Fruit goes directly from hopper to elevator to brush rollers – no water tank.

Best for:

• Fruit that is relatively clean already

• Customers with lower budget

• Smaller footprint

Components:

• Hopper – manual or belt feeding

• Elevator – gently lifts fruit to brushes

• Brush rollers – wet cleaning (sprayers added on brushes)

✅ Both options include brushes with water spray for effective cleaning. The difference is whether a water tank is used before the brushes.

Middle Section: Waxing & Drying (Standard for All)

After cleaning, all lines include:

• Adjustable speed, high capacity, high efficiency

• Gentle handling – soft brushes and low drops

• Conveyor belt under each grade – carries large capacity

• Can be customized with roller inspection table for manual defect removal

• End with a bag closing device or weighing system as needed

Back-End: Choose Your Grading Technology

After washing, waxing and drying, you select the grading method that suits your market.

Option A – Size Grader (Diameter Sorting)

The drum size grader sorts mandarins by diameter using rotating drums with round holes. This is the traditional, high-capacity method for citrus.

✅ Ideal for: Large packers who need simple, fast diameter sorting.

Option B – Electronic Weight Sorter (Weight Sorting)

The electronic weight sorter sorts mandarins by weight with high precision (±2g). It is available in rotary (compact) or linear (multi-lane) designs.

✅ Ideal for: Packers who sell by weight (retail bags, export orders).

Option C – Optical Sorter (Defect Sorting)

The optical sorter uses high-speed cameras to detect external defects that diameter or weight graders cannot see. It automatically removes defective fruit.
