New Australian white nectarine brand enters China

On January 14, Topa, a new Australian stone fruit brand, held its first press conference to enter the Chinese market at the Shanghai Victoria Market.

Topaz is a new brand for Australian-grown white nectarines, formerly known as Majestic Pearl (meaning: gorgeous pearl). As a high-end nectarine variety, only a fruit with an 80% red skin, a Brix of 13, and a more consistent size can become a topa. This brand of nectarines starts to be harvested in mid-December, and the sales period in the Chinese market is from January to March.

Summerfruit Australia vice-chairman Frank Frappa previously said he believed the new brand had a bright future. "This premium Australian nectarine has the perfect look and sweet taste. It's the best nectarine I've ever eaten. Topaz represents the joy of every happy family moment."

 

"Currently, 2,000~2,500 boxes of topaz nectarines have entered the Chinese market. They have been rolled out in Shanghai Huizhan Wholesale Market, Guangzhou Jiangnan Wholesale Market, and Shenyang Bajiazi Wholesale Market, and have been sold at retailers such as Xianfeng Fruit and Baiguoyuan. ,” said Lin Juncheng, head of business development at LPG China.
