Rotary disc graders use rotating trays . Peaches move along a conveyor, and fruits of different sizes fall through corresponding gaps into collection bins. This method sorts peaches based primarily on diameter, often into 6 size categories .  

Weight graders, like multi-tiered tray systems, employ high-precision sensors. Each peach is individually weighed on platforms and then directed into chutes based on preset weight ranges (e.g., 20–1,500 g), achieving accuracy within ±2 g. Both systems operate automatically, integrating seamlessly with cleaning or packaging lines.

While disc graders offer affordability and durability for entry-level needs, weight graders provide scalability for farms aiming to maximize revenue through precise, data-driven sorting. Both technologies reduce labor by 5070% compared to manual grading, making automation accessible to diverse peach growers.
