From late October to mid November every year, it is the best picking period for Linhai tangerine. At this time, the peel of tangerine is golden, and the sweetness reaches the peak. It is sweet and slightly sour, sweet but not greasy. It melts at the entrance, and there is no residue at all. Moreover, the sweetness of Linhai tangerine produced in the core production area can basically reach 14-18 degrees (the sweetness of common tangerines and common fruits is 8-13), which is strong 99% of the fruits in China. The soil for orange planting must be fertile soil with deep soil layer (60cm), soil pH value between 5.5 and 7.0, and the slope of orchard terrain should be lower than 25 degrees, which is conducive to drainage and light. It is precisely because of the local unique microclimate, high fertility soil, abundant irrigation water and special planting methods that create the extraordinary quality of Linhai tangerine.
