Chilean blueberry's strict quality control system

Chilean blueberry's strict quality control system ensures the safety and quality of exported products. In the 2019/20 season, the member companies of the Chilean Blueberry Committee of Chilean Fruit Exporters Association (ASOEX) exported 109,269 tons of blueberries, accounting for 3/4 of Chile's total blueberry exports. For a long time, Chilean blueberries have been welcomed by consumers in North America and Europe. The consumption of blueberries in the two regions accounted for 85% of the total exports of Chilean blueberries. In recent years, consumers' interest in various types of berries has been increasing. The purpose of the Chilean Blueberry Council is to promote, develop and continuously improve the production and export of Chilean blueberries. One of the important cornerstones of the Chilean Blueberry Commission is its quality control system. In this quality control system, a special focus area is the introduction and production of new blueberry varieties to cultivate sweeter and harder berries, so as to ensure that they reach the export destination market after long-distance transportation and still maintain high quality . The Chilean Blueberry Commission's quality control system also covers the fields of orchard management, harvesting, post-harvest and fruit quality grading. Under this quality control system, any importer or distributor can ensure that the member companies of the Chilean Blueberry Council use the safest and highest quality blueberries for export.
