Cambodian mangoes are officially approved for export to China

Cambodian mangoes are officially approved for export to China, and prices remain low this year. There are 37 registered orchards for exporting Cambodian mangoes to China and five packaging factories that have been approved by the Chinese side. According to People’s Daily Online, on April 26, the General Administration of Customs of China officially announced the list of registered orchards and packaging plants for Cambodian mangoes exported to China, marking the completion of the last procedure for Cambodian mango exports to China by both China and Cambodia. Cambodian mangoes have become the first after bananas. Two Cambodian fresh fruits that can be directly exported to China.

 

In June 2020, China and Cambodia signed and exchanged the plant inspection and quarantine protocol for Cambodian mangoes exported to China. In March 2021, China will review and evaluate the Cambodian registration of mango orchards and packaging plants through video, including whether hydrothermal and steam heat treatment can effectively sterilize fruits.
