The ministry said in a statement that longan processing plant owners, the Pailin Longan Association and longan fruit processing plant owners wishing to export to China can register with the ministry to check quality and technical requirements related to sanitary and phytosanitary standards.

The Ministry of Health pointed out that the country's "Protocol on Sanitary and Phytosanitary for Longan Exports to China" came into effect in mid-March.

"Those who wish to produce, process and pack longan in China can register longan farms and packaging plants with the Department of Sanitary and Phytosanitary Standards," the statement said.
