It is reported that China and Cambodia have stipulated an annual export quota of 500,000 tons of mangoes in the protocol, but the processing capacity of the Cambodian packaging plant has not yet reached the demand. Yong Shakun, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia, said that Cambodia can export 100,000 tons of fresh mangoes to the Chinese market every year. Many packaging factories in Cambodia are undergoing upgrades to meet Chinese standards and gain recognition. By then, the number of factories and export volume will both usher in an increase.
