The fruits/nuts will move forward on many stainless steel rollers and the space between rollers will become bigger so that fruit or nuts falling into each outlet based on diameter.

The grading accuracy of the above sorting method can reach 70%, and the sorting efficiency is relatively high, but the accuracy still needs to be improved.

After considering the sorting accuracy and the price of the machine, we decided to make a change on the basis of the machine in the picture below to design a more user acceptable device.

We will use circular holes instead of rectangular holes，the advantage of this is that the size of irregular chestnuts can be measured from every angle. We will divide the roller into several grades, and the diameter of chestnut corresponding to each grade will be determined by users, so that users can make their packaging work more convenient according to their own needs.
