Recently, the Association of Chilean Fruit Exporters (ASOEX) announced that as of the 2020/2021 season, Chile has exported a total of 1,839,723 tons of fresh fruit to the global market, a year-on-year increase of 0.3%. In the past two years, Chile has been an important target country for First Industry to promote fruit classifiers. The main sorting equipment promoted are blueberry graders, citrus washing sorting machine, avocado waxing machines, and fruit weighing and sorting machines.

Data show that in the 2020/2021 season, the Asian market accounted for 37.8% of Chile's fresh fruit exports, and the United States accounted for 26.8%. Among the top 6 countries and regions are Europe 17.9%, Latin America 15.4%, Middle East 2.4% and Canada 1.9%.
Among them, the share of the Asian market increased significantly by 16.4% year-on-year, surpassing the United States to become Chile's largest fruit export destination in the world. Another market where market share has increased is Latin America, which has grown by 7.3%. The U.S. dropped by 10%.
In terms of fruit types, the most exported fruit from Chile is table grapes, which accounted for 28.7% of the total export volume. This is followed by 19.2% for cherries, 17% for apples, 6.6% for plums, 6.4% for blueberries, 4.4% for pears, 3.9% for nectarines, 3.9% for avocados and 3.4% for oranges.
It is hoped that the fruit and vegetable sorting equipment produced by First Industry can bring convenience to fruit and vegetable processors in Peru as soon as possible.
