There are many varieties of South African pears, mainly green and red, and it is expected to become a part of the first batch of exports to China. No matter what kind of pear, you can use the same fruit sorter when sorting. Fstsort pear sorting machine can grade pears by weight with gentleness.

As the new South African pear season is about to start about two weeks later, South African growers ushered in a new dawn. After 18 years of negotiations and forced to postpone the process due to the epidemic, now South African pears have finally received the green light to export to China and a new export agreement has been signed.
Although there are still several issues that need to be resolved before the export is initiated, the growers are said to be excited about the final signing of the agreement.
Roelf Pienaar, Executive President of Tru-Cape, an exporter in the country, said: “The additional sales brought by entering the Chinese market will have a positive impact on growers. We are cautiously optimistic about this. Although the start will be slow, our apples are in China. The sales growth of Pear is good. We expect Pear will follow a similar trajectory, but the process will be shorter."
Hortgro is an industry organization composed of 622 apple and pear producers in South Africa. Jacques du Preez, trade and marketing manager of the organization, said that pears' access to China and the increase in apple sales (sales in China nearly doubled last season) mean that South Africa is now boosting its exports of pomegranates to China and Southeast Asia.
"Even before the agreement was signed, Tru-Cape predicted that China might become an important destination for South African pears," Pienaar said. "I think that our experience in exporting apples to China in the past few years will definitely accelerate the process of pear exports to China, because we have a better understanding of the Chinese market and have established relationships with certain Chinese retailers."
