Some Uzbekistan pomegranates can be exported to China

On April 27, the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China issued the "Plant Quarantine Requirements for Imported Uzbekistan Pomegranate". Since the announcement, the import of Uzbekistan pomegranates that meet the relevant requirements will be allowed. Pomegranate is Uzbekistan's third fruit exported to China after cherries and melons.

The requirements stipulate that pomegranate orchards, packaging plants and cold storage facilities to be exported to China must be jointly approved and registered by the General Administration of Customs of China and the State Plant Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Uzbekistan. Before the first export season, Uzbekistan and China jointly reviewed registered orchards, packaging plants and processing facilities.

Both the pomegranate packaging plant and the pomegranate orchard need a pomegranate sorting machine. First Industry is a manufacturer specializing in the production of fruit classifiers. The pomegranate classifier produced by First Industry can be sorted according to the weight and size of the pomegranate, with high efficiency and precision.

At the same time, pomegranate orchards exported to China should establish and implement Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) certification or other international certification systems to ensure the traceability of the production process. Maintain the sanitary conditions of the orchard, remove rotten fruits during harvest, and implement integrated pest management (IPM), including pest monitoring and investigation, chemical or biological control, and agricultural operations. If any living pests of concern to China are found in the exported goods, the goods shall be returned or destroyed.
