Peruvian avocado exports grow steadily

Carlos Paredes Rosales, president of ProHass (Peruvian Avocado Association), said that exports in 2023 are expected to be around twice as high as in 2018, when Peru exported 338,549 tonnes. More importantly, the 2023 season will be smoother, avoiding supply peaks concentrated in a few weeks. 624,000 tonnes of Hass avocado will be exported from Peru in the 2023 season, up 12.5% compared to 554,498 tonnes in the 2022 season.
