Overview of Citrus fruit exports from South Africa in 2020

According to the latest news from CGA, South Africa's citrus industry performed well this year despite the severe situation of cowid-19. A large number of South African citrus fruits are exported to all parts of the world, with a total volume of 147 million boxes, and the income is considerable. Among them, navel orange and citrus increased most obviously. As far as China's market is concerned, South Africa's citrus exports have been increasing in the past five years, reaching a new high of 126000 tons in 2020. The main reason is that after the new crown epidemic, consumers' health awareness has improved and they are more keen to consume fruits rich in vitamin C.
