The timeliness of harvesting and the quality of fruit picking not only affect the capacity of the year, fruit quality, storage resistance, disease resistance and economic benefit of marketing, but also affect tree potential recovery, flower bud differentiation and capacity of the following year.
Autumn comes again. Though 2020 takes much difficult to human, it is still a harvest season for citrus farmers. What should we do for better harvesting?

1. Water control before mining
In citrus ripening stage, the requirement of water is strict, and proper water control can improve the soluble solid content of citrus, so as to improve the fruit quality. Note to clear ditches in time, remove water, and keep the soil properly dry.
2. Fill the leaves with fertilizer
During the ripening of fruit, topdressing was sprayed on the leaf surface, which could improve the luster, quality, reduce the float and prolong the storage period.

3. Harvesting at proper time
Early ripening cultivar should be harvested when the fruit reaches the standard due to the cultivar. Fully cultivated fruits can be picked according to the market demand, and the same tree can be picked in batches. Appropriate weather and harvesting methods should be selected when harvesting.
4. Apply fruit fertilizer
Choose fertilization period, amount and method according to the variety, amount of fruit and tree potential of the year. In general, early maturing cultivar can be applied one week after harvest, medium mature cultivar can be applied simultaneously, and late mature cultivar can be applied one week before harvest.
