Seeka Australia, the country's largest jujube grower, required a sophisticated solution to move beyond simple size grading. Their primary challenge was not just sorting by width, but effectively managing three distinct classes of fruit simultaneously to maximize market value:
First Grade: Premium fruit requiring precise size grading into four distinct categories.
Second Grade: High-quality fruit (approximately 15% of yield) that still holds significant retail value.
Juice Class: Lower-grade fruit destined for processing.
Standard inspection tables typically only allow for one rejection category. Seeka needed a customized interface where workers could manually divert "Seconds" and "Juice" grades into separate, automated streams without slowing down the primary grading line.
The Solution: A Highly Customized 15-Meter Processing Line
To meet these specific logistical needs, our engineering team developed a bespoke Jujube Grading and Packing Line. The final solution integrated several custom modifications to the standard 4-meter inspection station:
1. Tri-Channel Manual Inspection Table
We engineered a specialized inspection table with three separate exit hoppers on each side.
Secondary Grade Stream: Workers place these fruits into end-hoppers where they drop onto a dedicated collection belt, leading to an automated weighing and boxing station.
Juice Grade Stream: These fruits are placed into center hoppers that drop directly into collection tubs below.

2. Integrated Precision Weighing & Packing
The system was designed to handle a variety of final packaging needs, ranging from 3kg to 10kg boxes. We integrated five specialized weighing stations to ensure that both First and Second-grade fruits are packed with 99% weight accuracy, ready for immediate market distribution.
3. Ergonomic & Space-Saving Design
To optimize the facility's footprint and ensure worker safety, we added customized guardrails and elevated platforms on both sides of the inspection table. This allowed the client to maximize space utilization while maintaining a high throughput of 2,000kg to 3,000kg per hour.

Results: Seamless Installation and Enhanced ROI
By automating the secondary grade collection and weighing process, Seeka Australia significantly reduced manual handling costs and improved the consistency of their "Second Grade" retail product.
Despite the complexity of the custom design, the line was engineered for easy assembly. Under our remote technical guidance, the client successfully completed installation and commissioning shortly after the equipment arrived in a 40ft container.

Expert Technical FAQ
Q: Can this roller sizer handle other small fruits?
A: Yes. While optimized for jujubes and dates, the adjustable roller system is highly effective for cherry tomatoes, lychees, and similar small produce.
Q: How does the system handle different box sizes?
A: The integrated weighing stations are fully adjustable to accommodate various packaging standards, typically ranging from 3kg to 10kg tubs or boxes.
