According to The Peruvian National Agricultural Health Service (Senasa), Peru exported 240,000 tons of fresh mangoes in the 2020/22 season to 32 countries and regions around the world, with the most important destinations being the European Union and the United States.
Last season, Peru exported mangoes at $325m fob. To promote mango exports this season, Senasa certified 6,841 mango sites with 6,780 growers. Peruvian mango exports have greatly increased the income of small-scale growers, 88 percent of whom, according to official records, are from family farms of less than five hectares.
