Compared with fresh blueberries, frozen blueberries have the following advantages.
1. Compared with the short supply period of fresh blueberries, frozen blueberries can achieve stable supply throughout the year, especially for food processing and catering market.
2. The cost of picking blueberries is relatively low. Fresh blueberries mainly rely on manual picking, but the cost of picking blueberries for frozen processing relies on mechanical picking. When the harvesting area is large enough, the cost of picking blueberries is far lower than that of manual picking.
3. The nutritional value of frozen blueberries is higher than that of fresh blueberries. Fresh fruits on the market have been picked before they are ripe because they need to be transported and stored. The quick frozen blueberries must be picked after fully mature, selected, cleaned and frozen immediately. Cryopreservation is the best way to preserve nutrition.
