Aussie orange production set to hit 20-year high as exports and consumption go hand in hand!
According to the latest USDA report, Australia's orange production is expected to reach 545,000 tons in the 2024/25 season, an increase of 25,000 tons from the previous season, which is expected to set a new 20-year record! The increase in production is due to expanded plantings and ideal weather conditions. First, dry weather helped with fruit set, followed by ample rainfall for fuller fruit growth and less wind than in previous years for a more perfect fruit surface.
