Many countries in South America are major exporters of blueberries, such as Chile, Peru and Argentina. This week we received a consultation on the blueberry sorting machine from the Republic of Ecuador. He wants to sort his blueberries into three grades: 11 mm - 13 mm, 14mm-16mm and 17 mm - 25mm.

In recent years, the government of Ecuador has been encouraging the planting of blueberries. Mountains in Ecuador are one part of the Andes, which provide a sound environment for blueberry growing. Blueberries are in high demand; therefore, the Federation of Blueberry Producers and Exporters is encouraging new farmers to join in on producing blueberries.

The first trail for blueberry planting with a scale began in 2016. Till March 2021, there is about 50 hectares in production, which is not enough to cover the domestic market yet. The scale of blueberries planting is increasing to achieve the goal of exporting.
