The Spanish Roja garlic bulb is a medium variety with an average diameter of 5 to 7 cm and has a bulbous and curved oblate appearance with a hard woody central stem. The bulbs are covered in a thin protective sheath, and each bulb varies in color from pure white to white with purple stripes.

When these outer layers are stripped off, a ring of six to eight large, swollen cloves surrounds the central stem. Each clove is encrusted in a dark red, reddish purple to reddish brown skin that is dry, brittle and easily peeled. Raw, garlic cloves are firm, crispy, chewy and spicy. One of the distinguishing features of Spanish Roja garlic is the sweetness that shines through the intense and spicy flavor of the garlic.

The blower cleans the garlic further and blows off the unsifted soil and loose skin of the garlic.

Drum sorter

After entering the classifier, the smaller garlic will fall through the round hole in the drum into the hopper, while the larger one will roll to the drum with the next larger hole under the rotation of the previous drum to grade the discharge.

Semi-automatic weighing system
