Kenya exported 72,000 tons of avocados last year, up from 59,000 tons in 2019. Coincidentally, enquiries for avocado sorting and waxing equipment in Kenya have increased significantly in 2020, according to First Industry.

According to Xinhua News Agency, citing an unnamed Kenyan government official, Kenya exported 72,000 tons of avocados last year, up from 59,000 tons in 2019.
Benjamin Tito, head of the Kenya Horticultural Crop Administration, said in an exclusive interview with Xinhua News Agency that the increase in exports is “partly due to Kenya’s vigorous development of avocado cultivation in the past five years.”
Europe is one of Kenya's main markets for avocados, accounting for the largest share of exports. A small amount is currently exported to China. According to reports, Kenyan exporters are working hard to meet the conditions set by the Chinese customs to promote the export of avocados.
