Washing, drying, waxing, weighing package, weight sorting... All these functions can be found in Zhengzhou First Industry. However, the core technology in First Industry is always the size sorting since we produce the first machine in 2012.
But how to measure the size of each grade? Many customers new to this business are confused about the size setting. The measurement method is related to the working principle, here I list the methods for reference.
1. Roller grader for oval fruit
Roller grader is designed for oval fruit like orange, avocado, lemon, passion fruit, etc. These fruit grow with regular shape and can rotate themselves on the rollers, and drop from the narrow side as below, so measure the width would be more accurate.

2. Drum grader for oblate fruit.
Some fruit grow with irregularly shape as mandarin, tomato, blueberry are more suitable for drum grader. Because they can not rotate easily as orange, and possible to drop from any direction on the roller grader. So measure the diameter as below would more accurate.

Besides, how to measure the size when you don’t have callipers, just normal ruler in hand? An onion customer show his wisdom perfectly. He cut the onion into 2 parts in the middle, no matter which direction he put the ruler, can get the accurate size easily.
