Guava originated in South America and is now widely distributed in tropical and subtropical regions worldwide. Guava fruit is extremely high in Vitamin C and can be eaten fresh or processed into preserves, jams, juices, etc. The seeds can also be pressed for edible oil.
In India, pink varieties are their main export product, primarily due to their firm flesh, unique aroma, and balanced flavor. This year's increased production in various countries is attributed to improved orchard management by growers and farmers' increasing investment in meeting export quality requirements. Growing demand from countries like the UAE, Qatar, and Oman, as well as emerging markets in Europe, have also contributed to increased export volumes.

The early arrival of the monsoon season and unpredictable temperature fluctuations this year directly led to some crop losses, but growers can minimize the impact by improving pre-cooling and humidity control system.

The main export season for guava is from September to February of the following year. Grading, optimized logistics processes, and upgraded packaging gradually increase the value of guava and improve the freshness of the fruit from farm to shelf.
