Egypt's fresh garlic season is about to begin. According to an exporter, the garlic season starts around mid-January, but in the past two months, the weather has been colder and the growth cycle of garlic has been extended. In the current condition, the growth of garlic has been very good. Although the export time of garlic will be delayed, there will be larger sizes of garlic on the market.

Due to the outbreak of the war in Ukraine and the continuous COVID-19 epidemic, there will be some impact on the quantity of garlic exports from Egypt.Egypt's main markets are the Netherlands and Germany, which are not directly exported to Russia, but European markets sometimes export Egyptian garlic to third countries. Currently, for economic reasons, people try to reduce their expenses, which will further lead to a decline in garlic exports.
Simultaneously, the increase in energy, transportation and raw material costs is also having a real impact on the market. For exporters, either cut costs from profits or raise the price of garlic.
